Viral “Mike Wang fired” statement is a hoax, as 2-way demigod builds take over the feed
A fake Visual Concepts statement about Mike Wang got fact-checked, creators push 99 Dunk / 99 Block demigod builds, and a creator asks if 2K quietly changed shooting. The patch page still shows September 17.

- Official No new patch today. 2K’s patch page still lists the unnumbered September 17 gameplay update as the latest change: stronger contests (with a slight boost for wide-open looks), more reliable standing dunks vs weaker interior defenders, a stronger Rise Up at Gold and above, Steal rating rewarded on ball contact, and standardized game speed. - Official The last numbered patch is still v1.5 (September 11), which had no gameplay changes. 2K’s developer note still says the patch before Season 2 will bring a much broader set of fixes.
